brandon hudsonRinging cell phone at traffic stop
Vehicle is stopped for speeding. Packet of cocaine is found in plain view during stop. Passenger's cell phone begins ringing during stop. Officer answers cell phone and takes part in a conversation addressed to passenger regarding a pending drug deal. Did officer need a warrant to answer phone or is it an okay "search" since cell phone is transmitted over open air waves?
