<Bob Cole>Great Result Against Child Molestor
I saw this posted on the home page. The article failed to mention that the defendant was probation eligible.
Baird Gets 5 Life SentencesThe jury also assessed $10,000 fines for each count.
The Court stacked the sentences. The elected DA, Billy Byrd, was extremely successful in making the defense psychologist a the State's expert by the end of his cross-examination. The defense expert acknowledged that the defendant fell into the highest risk level of potential recidivism. After that cross it was game over. You could almost hear Don Meredith singing in the background.
