Inmate learns DNA can also be used to affirm convictionsDNA tests have proved that Lee Wheeler committed a 1984 rape for which he's already serving life in prison.
At a hearing this morning, state District Judge Larry Mitchell (the same judge who freed a wrongly convicted man last week) re-affirmed Mr. Wheeler's guilt based on the tests.
