Here in the Valley we normally seize substantial amounts of pot. Most arrestees pled guilty but some do not. Do we (1) need to offer into evidence in at least the lowest amount alleged in the indictment then substitute it with a photo of the same, or (2) may we just adduce testimony that the contraband seized was marihuana and offer into evidence a photo of the same? Have misplaced case dealing with this issue.
