Travis County judge ruled in civil case that non violent, mentally ill defendants have to have a bed assigned in 21 days? Has anyone faced this issue. Why did I go to med school? Oh wait, I didn't.

Our judges include in the order for transfer a requirement that the state hospital take the patient within 14 days or face a contempt of court hearing. Seems to work.
