Hot Pursuit/Arrest Across state line Login/Join

My county borders New Mexico. We run into issues when a pursuit starts in TX and ends in NM. We always notify the local authorities of our stop. When the stop leads to an arrest, NM sometimes does not want to take the person into custody and releases the subject to the TX officers, who bring him back.

This does not fly with the extradition statutes, but it does happen.

Has anyone else dealt with this?

Thanks for your assistance.
