Occupations Code §§ 1701.651, et. seq. regulates the use and public release of police body camera recordings. § 1701.659 prescribes a specific criminal offense for unauthorized release by a police officer or employee. But there are other prescriptions and prohibitions found in that subchapter for which there are no apparent penalties. Am I missing something?
