Any thoughts on what to do with motor vehicles (watercraft) in our constable's custody after they were abandoned in a storage facilty on which no bids are made at the auction sale under Transp. Code Ch. 683? Be nice, now. The property is quite old and no one wants to buy it but the statute makes no provision for disposition when no one bids.

You can sell anything on eBay, right?

Has the property deteriorated to the point that it is no longer capable of being used for transportation on water? If so, it is not a "watercraft" under the statute, and I suppose you could haul it to the dump.

It looks like the previous owner has waived all rights and interests in the property per 683.014, so whatever you do, he or she has no complaint.
