Hello everyone. It is budget time here and I am looking for input as to what other counties do with the money collected for pre-trial intervention and if there is money left at the end of the year if you continue collecting the fee?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Just saw this post from last year....what did you end up budgeting with your PTD funds? I'm developing my budget now, and was just fishing for what others had done. I'm sure it's easy in populous counties, where you just use the $$ to fund an entire PTD department. But the statute doesn't seem well suited to smaller jurisdictions, where there aren't separate departments for handling PTDs, and where the same resources and staff are used to handle all criminal cases.
I have 1 secretary of my 3 that handles all the PTD matters for all 3 of my counties. I budget my PTD funds to pay for 1/2 of her salary.
