I'm the sole Juvenile prosecutor in a small county and have never before had a need to transfer a case to the District Court. After a court waives jurisdiction and orders a discretionary transfer under 54.02, what happens next. Does the case need to be presented to the Grand Jury or does the petition to transfer act as the charging instrument? Any help would be appreciated.
