My local school district wants to file truancy cases on students who have opted for virtual learning. The complaint is that the students are not logging into the virtual classroom. Apparently, the State has said that students cannot be compelled to attend in person and may not be penalized for opting into virtual learning.

Has anyone filed this type of case? Any tips or thoughts?

Until school attendance returns to normal, I will not be filing any truancy petitions.....for virtual absences or otherwise.
Just my 2 cents worth....
