The publications list shows the 2005-2007 charging manual is "Sold Out - with Update coming . . . last month (Sept). FYI, the description still says 2003-2005. Any news?

Also, will there be any revisions to Perfect Plea that take into account the changes that went into effect Sept. 2007?

The 2007-09 edition of the Charging Manual is now available, and although it is not reflected yet on the online order form, you can place an order either by calling our offices [(512)474-2436] or by dropping an e-mail to sales manager John McMillin (books@tdcaa.com)

I apologize for the lag in getting the online order form up-to-date. We currently don't have access to do that in-house and have to wait on our outside vendor to make changes to the order form. However, we're in the process of upgrading the TDCAA website, and within the next month, will have faster access to updating the publications order form.

No word yet on the next edition of Perfect Plea. Typically, we update that book in even-numbered years (it was last updated in 2006). We are searching for funding so that we could distribute the book again for free to all Texas prosecutors, but we haven't secured that funding yet.

If it becomes apparent that those funds aren't available, we'll move on to Plan B, which would mean updating the book and selling it to anyone interested in the update.
