A United States District Court in Illinois is the first court to address the PCAST report. The defense tried to get the court to suppress the ballistics evidence based on the report. The court denied the motion, explaining why he wasn't swayed by the report. The case is US v. Chester, et al., Docket No 13 CR 00774 (released 10/7) The committee that developed and released the report apparently didn't have any active forensic scientists with crime labs on the panel.
