I hope everyone who visits this site reads this Time magazine article in the "Issues In Prosecution" section of this website. And then I hope you print it out, and send a copy to the Gov., Lt. Gov., Speaker of the House, and to your state rep. and state senator. It makes it very clear that when criminals lose their fear of prison and the criminal justice system, they start to take over. Cops can't get cooperation from crooks in making cases on higher ups, and prosecutors can't try dangerous criminals because witnesses are intimidated. "Saving money" by not funding enough prisons, and by castrating probation (or what was it called last session? "Making Probation Smarter," or some thing like that) has disasterous, life and death, results.

That is the answer to the question of what happened to the gangs of NOLA. Is it any wonder Dallas says they can't handle anymore than 3 or 4000 refugees if a major hurricane hits Houston? A well written article that should be frightening to the public.
