Does anyone know of an online source for the original CCP passed by the Legislature in 1856?
The Legislative Law Library has a physical copy of it printed in 1857 (by the News Office in Galveston), but the librarian was unaware of any online source.
It does not appear to be on Westlaw, and its text was not printed in the session laws when it was originally passed. Also, my local law libraries do not have it.
Google shows there is a free online version of the penal code, but only book forms for the CCP. Same with the various Texas universities. Same with the Library of Congress.
Of course you could simply buy your own copy from Amazon.Amazon

I kinda wish my parents had named me Oliver Cromwell G.

Did you find it yet? It should be somewhere on this website. I found an 1856 bill that amended the CCP, but didn't look too hard for the original, as the site is hard to navigate around in.
