| When the artist Marina Abramovic and her then-companion Ulay first performed the piece, called "Imponderabilia," in Bologna, Italy in 1977, the police showed up. The NYPD is unlikely to interfere with the version that opened at MoMA on Sunday, though some museum-goers may choose not to do the sideways limbo between bare bodies. | A woman gardening wearing only a yellow thong and pink gloves has brought neighborhood complaints and new rules from a housing authority in Colorado. Boulder Housing Partners plans to amend its rules so that tenants cover up when they're outside. Several passers-by told Boulder police earlier this week that 52-year-old Catharine Pierce was topless while tending to her yard. Last year, she was threatened with eviction for gardening wearing only pasties and a thong. Details.[Did you make up your mind on whether to prosecute only after seeing the age of the gardener?] |

| It's March, for crying out loud, not July. Rather than prosecute, perhaps we should consider having this dedicated cultivator train our military's mountain brigades on thriving in hypothermic conditions. Some adaptations would, of course, have to be made. For instance, yellow wouldn't work until native wildflowers bloomed. Until then, strict adherence to camo thongs would appear to be the order of the day. |

| "Is it proper or not for the state to have the position that live nude dancing should be discouraged?" Chief Justice Wallace B. Jefferson asked attorneys for the strip clubs. "Is it unconstitutional for the state to target live nude dancing because it believes it's culturally unsound, immoral?" ... One of the liveliest exchanges was when one of the justices asked Craig Enoch, attorney for the Texas Entertainment Association, what exactly nude dancers express in their shows. "Eroticism," said Enoch, who is also a former state Supreme Court justice. "It's seeking to create emotion." Details. |

| Not exactly explicit use of the word "naked," but the article (from CNN) actually reads like something out of the Onion. Anatomical ridicule raises body-scanning concernsFull-body scanning machines may reveal a little too much, if an incident of workplace violence this week among Transportation Security Administration screeners is any indication. A TSA worker at Miami International Airport in Florida was arrested for allegedly assaulting a co-worker who had repeatedly teased him about the size of his [you can probably guess what]. | A half-naked [should we have a separate thread for just half-naked?] Australian sunbather wasted no time saving a burning apartment building, rushing for a fire hose before her bikini top. Tash Bennett, 27, was sunbathing topless by her apartment complex pool when a nearby palm tree caught on fire. Details. |
