In Travis County, we have charged a doctor with violations of the Medical Practice Act, Chap. 151 - 165 Occupations Code. I'd rather not get into the specifics, but we have alleged violations of law in connection with the practice of medicine, which are Class A misdemeanors. There is zero case law on the enforcement of the criminal penalties. If anyone has any experience with this, please post or drop me an e-mail.
