In the case of Cecilia's parents, Bradley wanted them to return to speak to investigators and testify in court.

His office worked with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to secure permission for the couple to return through a program know as Significant Public Benefit Parole. The parole, sought by Bradley in this case for the first time in his nine years as district attorney, is sometimes used by law enforcement to temporarily bring someone who is otherwise inadmissible into the U.S. to help a criminal investigation or testify in court.

Details.

[Has your office used this relatively new federal law? How did it work for you?]
