The witness steadily avoided service and had even testified before the GJ last September under a false identity. Shortly thereafter we began to try to find her with a trial subpoena under her true name. She has a no bond warrant for revocation of probation out of Taylor Co. She was arrested last Thursday night/Friday morning and has appointed counsel. She is an essential and material witness in a cap murder here, set to begin May 2, 2005. We need to keep her here for testimony. 17.34 CCP seems to require a bond. Help!

Art. 24.13 CCP plainly states that a court may attach a witness confined in "any jail in the state" to assure attendance at trial. Writ of attachment!
