Restitution question. Login/Join

Can a crime victim use a probation restitution order to place liens on a defendant's real estate just as he could if he had a civil judgment against the defendant? What about a court finding of restitution owed in cases where the defendant is sentenced to TDC?

I'll post this same question on the civil board as well. Any help is appreciated.

42.22 of the Code of Criminal Procedure sets out the procedure for the victim and the State to file liens based on criminal restitution

There may be other statutes as well but I believe this is what you may be looking for.
