So we set bond conditions in a family violence case - let's say no contact with our victim. Our defendant has contact with our victim. As I read penal code section 25.07 that is a violation of bond conditions set in a family violence case and is punishable as a class a misdemeanor (or more if repeat offender). Can an officer arrest on sight or get a warrant for the violation of bond conditions just like he could for violating the protective order under the same penal code section? I'm not seeing cases on this. Anyone got any experience to point to?
