D tricks his ex-GF into accompanying him to a house in the country. Once there, he won't let her leave. He yells, threatens, assaults, physically restrains, plays mind games, withholds food & water (and shower), and at one point comes very close to raping her before she frantically begs him to stop and (surprisingly) he does. He finally takes her home 2 days later. He's charged with agg kidnapping, alleging he abducted her with intent to cause bodily injury, violate or abuse sexually, and terrorize. Jury is charged in the disjunctive. General verdict of guilty; 15 years TDCJ. Do sex offender registration requirements apply? The jury didn't have to agree unanimously on the aggravating factor, so how do we know he was convicted of Agg Kidnapping with intent to violate or abuse the victim sexually? | ||
