I do a monthly column for the local newspapers dealing with various criminal justice matters of current interest. Last month, I talked about some of the bills pending before the Legislature which I consider to be improvements in the criminal justice system. Now, I need help on the top 5 or 6 stinker bills pending (or perhaps even already passed) in Austin. I sure would like the opinion of this august group. Some of them will probably be obvious by common name but HB or SB numbers would be helpful. Any comments are encouraged as well.
