Our county is trying to make a more consistent bonding schedule and the question was asked if a peace officer could instanter someone if they knowingly violate bond conditions. We are trying to make bond conditions a more effective tool for us and our officers. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If it's a family violence or sexual assault bond condition, officers can arrest for a violation upon probable cause even if the offense is NOT committed within their view. CCP art. 14.03(3)

Thank you for your response. I guess my post was asking, in general, other jurisdictions methods and procedures when using bond conditions. We are looking to revamp our bonding schedule and make bond conditions a more useful tool. Thanks again for your response. Walt Bauer
