Help needed: Statutory authority to transfer a .102 hearing

I am working on a matter involving a state entity that has a person on an .073 commitment and has (believe it or not) volunteered to keep the person on a .102 commitment.

The issue is whether there is statutory authority somewhere which would allow transfer of the case for the purpose of a .102 hearing to the county in which the person is now hospitalized. Art 46B.102 states that the criminal court shall conduct the proceedings. And I am unable to find H&S statutes that would allow transfer for the limited purpose of holding the hearing.

Has anyone dealt with this highly technical, and somewhat arcane, issue? How about Cherokee or Wilbarger County folk?
