A friend of mine got arrested about a month ago for driving with a suspended license. He had a surcharge that he missed a payment because austin didn't send him a statement and he forgot about it. So he went to jail and sat 8 hours until the judge was there to set a bond. He got paid his surcharge and renewed his license. So everything is valid buy he still needs to go to court to see a judge. I am trying to figure out what the max penalties are for this offense. The clerk advised him to get an attourney for his court date and some friends of his scared him by saying there is possible jail time. Anyone have any comments or advise? tera

You can find the Texas statutes online here. Start with the Transportation Code. Sorry, but we can't give you any advice on this forum.
