Richard Garnett, PhD (out of Fort Worth) will be testifying for the defense in the punishment phase of our capital murder trial. Has anyone had any dealings with him? Any available transcripts?

I'm not familiar with this psychologist, but you might want to talk to the prosecutors who handled the Hall case (Hall v. State 160 SW3d 24) because it involved a mental retardation claim and originated out of Ft. Worth. Someone there might have dealt with Dr. Garnett, even if he didn't testify. You could also check with Lee Hon in Polk County (the expert on mental retardation, having gone around and around with Penry for so many years) to see if he's heard of this doctor. Good luck.
