A defendant was recently sentenced to TDC. While in our jail waiting for TDC to pick her up, she developed EXPENSIVE medical issues which have required transport to a hospital, surgery, etc. Sheriff wants to know if there is a way to release her from custody until TDC is ready to pick her up? That way he doesn't have to send a deputy over 100 miles every 12 hours to switch shifts watching her in a bed she is physically incapable of leaving anyway.
