Hey, I'm working on an appeal. Defense counsel claims that a pleading of true from counsel on behalf of a defendant is not true because defendant wasn't present in the courtroom. The defendant was in the county jail and participated via the jail closed video circuit. Defendant plead true to "technicals" and not true to new law violations. Do revocation pleadings fall under the video-conferencing rules? Lloyd S. Kleiman

If I’m following you correctly, you’re okay as long as they signed a 27.18 consent form. Gotta have those for pleas. For any other appearance that doesn’t involve a plea, I think you’re okay under the emergency rules until June 1. But that’s just off the top of my head.
