We are doing a writ of mandamus after a visiting judge denied our Motion to Quash the subpoena of our elected County Attorney. We are claiming a work-product exception. I feel like we have come Texas Supreme Court authority that is right on target. Does anybody have any general advice on the issue of writs of mandamus? It's imperative that our office is successful as we fill a denial of the motion to quash is an invitation for the local bar to subpoena our office for any civil matter that we gain knowledge of as part of a criminal investigation.

When the visiting judge realized we were serious about filing a writ, he canceled the jury selection that was scheduled for Monday the 9th. So, we aren't under as much of a time constraint as we might be, but I want to get this writ completed and submitted to appellate court as soon as possible.
