He should have paid the water bill Authorities in Bowie County, Texas, say a local man suspected of drug possession tried to flush the stash -- but the toilet didn't work. And it didn't work because the water bill hadn't been paid.
Bowie Sheriff investigators said they were acting on a tip when they went to a house on Daniel's Chapel Road north of New Boston Thursday morning. They said they got written permission from 51-year old Charles Robert Wiley to search the house.
But when the investigators went inside, Wiley grabbed some drugs and tried to flush them down the toilet, deputies said.
Big problem: The toilet wouldn't flush. There was no water in the tank because the water had been cut off for non-payment.
Deputies said they confiscated more than a pound of methamphetamines.
