There is a city ordinance relating to a curfew for juveniles. Can a deputy sheriff enforce the city ordinance if he sees a violation ocurring in the city? Thanks

Any peace officer may arrest or issue a citation on a city ordinance. Those officers should be very cautious in knowing exactly what the ordinance prohibits and take special care to keep current on lightning fast changes from the city counsel. Ignorance of the law is no defense if you get sued for not being solidly aware of the content or changes. The case must (yes must) be filed and heard in municipal court. Get with the court to find out how that is done.
