It looks as though there are a lot of bills pending dealing with this subject. Most look harmless enough, but HB 2490 by Puente would not allow prosecutors to offer PTD to anyone previously convicted of an offense punishable by confinement.

Is anyone else bothered by this? While I don't make a habit of offering it to people with priors, there are times it seems appropriate.
