Reference the article from Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel (Henderson): I found it quite surprising that the Republic of Texas court system was unable even to resolve a dispute between its members (since so many of its citizens seem to know so much about contract law and they seem to have plenty of judicial types). Where did anyone come up with the idea that worthless bonds might be useful to pay debts? Of course I guess maybe they are backed by pieces of silver?
