Hello All,

We received a call today from a hospital billing office with regard to the payment of charges for a mandatory blood draw. The hospital asked the DPS Trooper who was responsible for payment of the charges and the Trooper told them to bill the DA's office. I have never received such a request before. Has anyone had their office billed before. Since no warrant issued Art. 18.08 would not seem to apply. How are the costs of mandatory and consensual blood draws handled. Do we except the bill and require restitution. Any help here would be appreciated
