Remember that old courthouse saw that goes "If the facts are on your side, argue the facts; if the law is on your side, argue the law; and if neither is on your side, argue like hell!"? Well, now there's a corollary. Click here, then view/download as a .pdf file: Motion to Change the Facts (tip courtesy of our friend at "Grits Para Desayuno")

Oh, I've gotta get a website with a really serious-looking photo of me glaring ominously at the camera. On the other hand, I'll give credit where it's due: that's funny.

On one hand, I was so happy to hear that this Bennett was not kin to the well-respected and infinitely knowledgeable Bob Bennett (once a great Harris County ADA in the 60's) or his well respected son. On the other hand, I've read Mr. Mark Bennett's blog on links from the gritster, and I have not been impressed with his notions of justice. Yeah, his little motion is funny, but I'd find it funnier if Mr. "I fight the Feds" (and the feds always win) filed that in a real case. I also find that there are alot of snarky jokes on the grits and Bennett website.
