What are the pros/ cons of being an Asst. US Attorney? Besides working for the federal government how is this job different from that of Assistant District Attorney? I have looked at the salary/ benefits for the position and according to http://www.usdoj.gov/oarm/arm/hp/hpsalary.htm
an attorney is elegible to promote into the GS-15 grade after only 4 years? The salary for that grade is $93k-$118k, which is pretty impressive after only 4 years, even though I suspect that only a handful of lawyers actually make it there.
