We have a case that has tapes of conversations that are in a middle eastern language that we would like to have translated and transcribed. We have tried to use some graduate linguistics students to translate, but have gotten differing opinions on translation because of the dialect. We are looking for a certified translator. Does anyone know where we might be able to find one?

You can search for licensed court interpreters by language at the following site:

Try Net Transcripts, Inc. They are at www.nettranscripts.com They did excellent work for us in Spanish. They will send the translator to court if absolutely necessary to prove up your translation. They have people doing a variety of languages.

Thanks to all and those who replied and who sent e-mails. We try and keep all these things stored up somewhere so in the future we can hopefully pay it forward.
