There are some local police who want PC sign-off on Fentanyl arrests based on an officer's "knowledge and experience," of the appearance of homemade tablets. Seems way too far of a leap to me, I'm thinking they should be able to provide proof of a presumptive field test. Does anyone else have a different opinion on this? Is there any case law? I just don't see how based on the appearance of a tablet, someone could discern Fentanyl from any other substance, legal or otherwise, that can be pressed into a tab. Thanks in advance. | ||
