The San Antonio Police Department has recommended that charges be filed against a suspended lawyer who left hundreds of people's traffic cases hanging.

The department forwarded its investigation of Diana Minella to the Bexar County district attorney's office last week.

"They brought a case of fiduciary misapplication," said Assistant District Attorney Adriana Biggs, chief of the white-collar crimes section. "However, we need to follow up on their investigation" before filing formal charges.
