Hi everyone, I'm curious as to the legality of offering CDL holders "pre-trial diversion" to dismiss tickets for a high fee. Is there any law (federal or state) making this illegal? I currently know of a case in which a CDL holder was driving 10 miles over the speed limit in his personal vehicle and was offered pre-trial diversion (120 days probation without any getting another ticket in that county and a fee of $500) for the speeding ticket to be dismissed. Is pre-trial diversion used often in Texas in such cases? Thanks! | ||
