We have a woman in our jail who ("allegedly") shot her husband after saying, "All bad seed must be dealt with."

The court ordered her to go to Venon's State Hosp. to regain her competency. San Antonio St. Hosp. will not take her. I was told by our jail captain that the last crook we sent to Vernons had to wait 10 mos. before they said to send him to them.

Does anyone have any other ideas for getting this woman well enough that she is competent? I strongly suspect that after she is competent, she will be ordered back to Vernons to see if she was legally insane at the time of the shooting, and I fear she may be in for another nearly year long wait.
