Sex offender did his annual registration and correctly reported that he was unemployed. 20 days later, he got a job, but did not report this to his local registration authority. He was arrested 3 months after getting his job and filed on for failure to update his employment status. Problem: CCP Art. 62.051 requires him to update his address changes within 7 days but CCP Art. 62.051(c)(6) does not have a time requirement on employment changes. Is his failure to report his new employment a crime when it occurs between annual registrations?

The answer to my own question is "yes"; see CCP Art. 62.057(b).
