Are state jail inmates receiving 2 for 1? The talk among the Ector County Jail is that as of June 1st state jail inmates receive 2 for 1 on their sentences. After a plea, one defendant told me he read it on yahoo. Just curious??

Seems like after every legislative session this rumor pops up. I don't know of any change in the law that creates good conduct credit for state jail felons.
