Is a Juvenile adjudication (he went to TYC) sufficient for purposes of 46.04 Unlawful Possession of Firearm (by Felon)?

I followed the link.

At the risk of being a bit dense.

Juv got determiante sentencing. Finished his time at TDCJ and got out. Now he gets caught with a gun.

Because the determiante sentence isn't a conviction, he's not a felon?

That is correct. Even if got a determinate sentence--they were adjudicated delinquent and not convicted.
