Lettie LessThanSmart took a day's worth of Darvocet and Zanax from their prescription containers and placed them in an Aleve bottle before going into her friend's house for the night. She didn't use them, and did not replace the pills into the prescription containers. When stopped the next day, the officer was given consent to search and found the pills. At this point, there is no doubt that she HAD a prescription for the pills. What are the rest of you doing with these?? Lisa L. Peterson Nolan County Attorney

She had a prescription but just put the pills in a different container? I don't know, how is that different than the little old lady with their "pill a day" containers?

If she had a prescription, that's the end of it.

The government's drug czar says that Michael Jackson's death is a wake-up call to the nation about prescription drug abuse. Gil Kerlikowske, chief of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, says more people are dying in the United States from drug overdoses than from gunshot wounds. Details.

And then we have the SCOTUS limitation on searches of school kids. So big on developing the "evolving standards of decency" which effect so few and so loose on standards designed to protect the most vulnerable section of our society. The irony of it.
