A Texas man who spent 21 years in prison for murder pleaded guilty to the same crime on Friday, three years after he was freed from prison and granted a new trial by DNA evidence that showed his original conviction was tainted.

Details.

For an earlier statement from the Innocent Project website:

"For 21 years, Clay Chabot has insisted that he had nothing to do with this crime, and DNA evidence finally confirms what he has said all along," said Vanessa Potkin, Staff Attorney at the Innocence Project, which is affiliated with Cardozo School of Law.

Details.
