I work for the County Attorney, but I do most of the criminal work that the Judge should be doing, ie: docket prepration and sentencing documents. Is this common practice? Is there a software somewhere to help with case management?

In some counties the DA/CAs prepare the jury charges and judgments. Judgments can and should be obtained from the Office of Court Administration site. Jury charges can be found on this TDCAA site (see Jury Charges button, above). As for docket management software, I don't know of any, but I'm sure there are products around. The OCA site might be the most useful starting point: http://www.courts.state.tx.us/oca/casemngt.asp JAS [This message was edited by JAS on 01-04-08 at .]
