I'm curious what other counties do with the large piles of dirt that results from grading roads, clearing ditches, etc. My commissioners and road department want to drive on to private land to dump the dirt at the request of private land owners.

I may be missing something, but I don't see how this is constitutional. Not surprisingly, I'm met with the standard "Then why does every other county get to do it?"

We are currently selling some fill dirt.
Commissioners court approved price and sale to the public. First come first served.
