Me and my wife got into a scuffle that involved a knife and she ended spending a night in jail. But now there is a no contact order and I want to drop the charges but she is afraid that it wont matter if I drop the charges or not, that they will still send her to jail. She never raised the knife to me she just had it but I wasnt about to stick around to find out. But before I called the police she had already put it down.. I have a court date tommorow and i want to drop the no contact order and drop the charges what's the most that could happen in this situation I know we need counseling. And if they want to still press charges, can I file and affadvit of non prosecution? I'm in South Dakota. | ||
